The Wireless Set No. 38 was designed as a high frequency portable man-pack radio transceiver. Various pictures of the 38 set being used during the battle of Arnhem made this an iconic piece of Airborne equipment. Complete with Z.A. webbing carrier, original antenna case d, with 4 orginal antenna. Satchell bag (M.W.&S. 1941). And 1945 dated and Z.A. marked battery bag. Equipment includes: head and throat microphones, junction box, radio carrying strap and valves. All period equipment. Also including a reproduction manual with working instructions. his particular radio compromise an early war example with the switch being fitted on the radio that wasnt fitted on the later models.
