British (Airborne) Field Binoculars 2 1/2 x 50 Dated 1944 - Nice Used Condition
British (Airborne) 2 1/2 x 50 compact Galilean binoculars in original leather carrying case. The bincolars are in nice used condition. Clearly marked V.F 2506 stores reference number/code for airborne issue along with a small broad arrow mark.
The binoculars come in their original leather carrying case fitted with original leather carrying strap. The case is clearly makers marked J.B.B. and 1944 dated as well as being marked with the Broad Arrow.
There is a famous picture of Boy Browning wearing these binoculars whilst talking to commander Gavin (82nd Airborne) near Overasselt during Operation Market Garden in 1944. A nice used pair off British (Airborne) Field Binoculars that can be upgraded however.
