Rare Officers Model British Airborne Denison Smock - Nice Used Condition

A British Airborne Denison Smock compromising the so-called first pattern fitted with wool cuffs and as used by the 6th and 1st Airborne Division during D-Day and the Battle of Arnhem in 1944. This pattern smock was produced between 1942 and 1943. Fitted with textbook "newey pattern" press studs. We reckon that this Denison smock compromises a wartime converted officers type Denison smock and not a late war conversion. The long zip compromises a textbook "lightning" zip. Furthermore an extra pocket is created on the back interior of the smock. Fitted with a Broad Arrow marked zip. We have never come across one of this known models before.
The smock has no label present We do have come across more unissued Denison Smocks that were not fitted with labels. as can seen on the last photo The inner pockets and right pocket flap fabric are from the first model handpainted smock so I can dated this smock as a1942 We found two officiers pips in one of the pockets . This smock was recently purchased from a long time collector. The Denison has very attractive deep camoflage colours and would be estimated at a size 5. An excellent and full original British (Airborne) 1st Model Denison Smock that would be hard to find as well as hard to upgrade.
