U.S. Airborne T5 Parachute Harness and Pack tray 1944 Including T 5 Griptype Chestpack - Mint Condition

As used by Airborne troops parachuting into D-Day (Normandy) and during operation Market Garden and Rine crossing 1944.-1945 101st Airborne 82Nd Airborne and 17th Airborne div This iconic piece of U.S. equipment; U.S. (Airborne) T5 Parachute Harness. The T-5 Parachute was adopted in June 1941 by the Airborne Troops of the United States of America.
Secured to the body of the harness with four straps, and two straps to pass between the legs. The harness appears in light used condition and is in excellent condition and complete with the pack tray orginal fitted on the harnass . A makers mark Irving Air Chute Co. and May 1944 date are still visible on the harnass This parachute harnass has been found in a film studio's from Warner Bros Burbank, California about 20 years ago and has been marked WBM 7734. The T 5 Griptype chestpack is also made by Irving Air Chute Co.and dated March 10 1943 A highly desired and increasingly hard find piece U.S. Airborne equipment. This T parachute harnass Cannot be upgraded.
