British (Airborne/Commando) Toggle Rope - Nice Used Condition

Increasingly hard to find these days; an excellent example of a so-called Toggle Rope. Issued to both British Airborne and Commando troops. These ropes would have multi-purpose and where standard kit to these elite forces. This rope compromises a full original thick diameter rope. British 1937 Pattern Army Royal Armoured Corps MKII pistol holster. The pistol holster compromises a shortened version. A common practice and also known to have been factory shortended. This due to the original pattern being to long and not practical in tanks and other armoured vehicles. The holster compromises an issued and blancoed example adding to its patina. Plastic cap badges were first introduced into the British Army during 1941 as a result of metal shortages caused by the prioritised demands of industrialised war production.
