British Royal Air Force Beret 1943 - Unissued Condition

British Royal Air Force Beret executed in distinctively colored blue-grey wool serge. These early berets were generally issued alongside the more common traditional Field Service (FS) caps. The beret is in imo unissued condition with only some trace of age and storage. Makers marked "British Beret Basque Ltd", dated 1943 and marked with the Broad Arrow. The beret is marked with War Department acceptance stamp and lettercode "N" indicating 1943 as the year of acceptance. A hard to upgrade example.
