WH (HEER) Panzer Unteroffizier Grouping 2nd Panzer Division - Nice Used Condition
This is a not so often encountered set that originated from the same soldier who kept this together for all these years: a nice PZ soldier grouping comprising of a (matching) pair of Unteroffizier ' type shoulder-boards and neat pair of PZ collar-tabs (with one originally attached bundmetal type skull). The shoulderboards have been sewn into the uniform. Also the Besitzzeugnis for the Sturmabzeichen, granted to Unteroffizier Otto Ellinger who served with the "Stabskomp. I./Pz. Regiment 3" dated 12 november 1941. And awarded by Generalleutnant u.Kdr. 2. Pz. Div Rudolf Veiel RK with original signature . The group is completed with original WH (Heer) 'Panzer' EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). This is in a nice quality EM's privately purchased visor cap, the celluloid sweat diamond is nicely marked by the company "M.S. & S." and "Marke Berlin". The cap is marked a size 56. The Visor cap is piped in the pink 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Panzer personnel. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cocarde and is having a zinc-type cap-eagle attached. The cap is showing some moth damages and showing clear traces of usage and wear, see photos for more details. The cap is also named to Otto Ellinger. A stunning and increasingly hard to find Panzer grouping with clear trace of wear yet with a stunning patina.
