British (Airborne) Paratrooper BSA Folding Bicycle - Nice Used Condition

British (Airborne) i.e. Paratrooper Folding Bicycle. These bicycles were produced by the The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited (BSA) between 1942 and 1945. The bike could be folded completely in half by loosening two wingnuts, reducing its overall size. Many bikes were used by civilians post war both in the countries that these bikes would been deployed in as in the U.K. This bicycle has most likely been civilian used with the frame being painted black. Yet with the rims still being in original army green shade. Most army markings such as the BSA and the frame number are visible. Still fitted with original BSA handgrips and a BSA gear wheel. These bikes are known to have been used during D-Day and the Battle of Arnhem and would allow paratroopers to reach their main objective faster then on foot. Paratroopers could hold the bicycle in front of them during the jump, or would have carried by glider for the use by glider infantry.
An original and clear nice used British (Airborne) Paratrooper BSA Folding Bicycle that could be upgraded yet increasingly hard to find.
