Wehrmacht (Heer) M40 Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M40). A standard Heeres decal is applied to the left side of the helmet, the decal is retained for about 95%. The helmet is fitted with original M31 leather liner wat has been cleaned The liner is probably a 58.
The shell is marked with maker and size 'SE66' which indicates production by the company Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '9295'. The helmet is complete with its original its chinstrap.
