British Camoflaged Brodie Helmet "Brigade Piron" 1942 - Nice Used Condition

A standard British Brodie Helmet executed in a very attractive sand coloured camouflage. Marked with a Belgium flag as decal and refer to the "Brigade Piron". Next to the decall is a straight red line. We have been unable to identity, most likely to be a unit marking.
The "Brigade Piron" was a Belgium infantry unit established in England under command of Jean-Baptiste Piron and was under direct command of the 6th Airborne Division. The "Brigade Piron" landed in August 1944 in Arromanches en Courseulles-sur-Mer. And part-took later in operations in Belgium and Southern parts of the Netherlands. The helmet is in clear used condition adding to its patina.
The helmet is fitted with original lining and which is also clearly worn. Dated 1942, sized 7 and marked with the Broad Arrow. Makers marked FFL and fitted with original webbing chinstrap. A attractive "Brigade Piron" helmet with stunning patina.
