British (Airborne) Rifle Valise 1945 - Mint Condition

British (Airborne) Rifle Valise intended for the 303 Lee Enfield rifle. Intended to protect the rifle and paratrooper during the jump. Executed in green felt, fitted with webbing strans and webbing pocket and rope. The valise in excellent i.e. mint condition, with the felt often being in very deteriorated condition. The valise is makers marked GS&S Ltd and dated 1945. As would have been used by British Airborne paratroopers during D-Day and the Battle of Arnhem. Cannot be upgraded.
