ncreasingly hard to find and highly sought after. Probably the most iconic piece of British Airborne headgear and the rarest of all; the Red i.e. maroon beret.
This Red Beret compromising a 1942 dated example, clearly and makers marked Kangol Wear Ltd. The beret compromises a size 7 3/4 and is clearly Broad Arrow marked. In addition the beret is clearly marked with War Department acceptance mark and letter code "N" indicting 1943 being the year of issue.
With the beret is an original Parachute Regiment cap badge.(never fitted on this baret) The beret shows minimal wear A full original British (Airborne) Red Beret as would have been worn during D-Day and the Battle of Arnhem. Hard to find these days
