British 1940 Pattern Battle Dress Badged To Glider Pilot - Nice Used Condition

A highly attractive and completely original British 1940 Pattern Battle Dress blouse, retaining its factory label, clear dated 1944, and maker’s marked Thomson Ltd. Clearly marked with War Department acceptance stamp.
The jacket is fully badged with all original insignia, including a printed Pegasus formation signs, Airborne shoulder strips, and Glider Pilot Regiment titles. It is badged to a Staff Sergeant, with stripes and crown that have been subtly accentuated with toothpaste, a period practice commonly used by airborne troops to brighten their insignia. And a Glider Pilot wing increasingly hard to find these days. As would have been worn by Glider Pilots during D‑Day and Operation Market Garden. The jacket displays a beautiful patina hard to be upgraded!
