U.S. 82nd Airborne 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment Service Dress & Garrison Cap
An original mounted U.S. Airborne service dress and garisson cap. The service dress is orignal mounted to a staff sergeant within 82nd Airborne formation patches. The 508th oval has been removed from uniform, however is still present. It is clearly visible were the oval was attached on the uniform. The service dress is fitted with original label, measuring a size 40R and dated october 1940. The name "Don" is written in the collar of the tunic.The dress is mounted with various medal ribbons and lanyards including the Croix de Guerre lanyard and Dutch orange lanyard that took part in the liberation of the Netherlands. Including the Purple Heart and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal. This campaign medal is fitted with four bronze stars and one arrowhead, each awarded for participation in an Airborne or amphibious operation including Normandy, Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge.
The garisson cap is mounted with orginal Parachute Infantry Regiment cap badge, and rare 82nd Airborne unit crest. Fitted with clear and crisp label, measuring a size 7 1/4 and dated 1943.
