U.S. M1 Helmet Fitted With Hawley Liner - Nice Used Condition
A textbook example of a front seam and fixed bale M1 helmet. The helmet is fitted with a so-called "Hawley" liner. This type of liners were produced by the Hawley Products Company and compromise the the first contract in 1941. The first contract was for 950.000 liners only. After this production was discontinued as the liners were not strong enough. The liner is in excellent condition with nice wear and age. Complete with leather sweatband and leather chinstrap.
