Rare U.S. (Airborne/Airforce) 1st Pattern First Aid Pouch - Nice Used Condition
A rare example of a so-called first pattern first aid pouch. Designed as an extra piece of equipment containing wound dressing, morphine and a tourniquet. These first aid pouches were intitially issues to U.S. Aircrew and Paratroopers. During operation Overlord (Normandy 1944) these first aid pouches were also issued to U.S. assualt forces. Executed in canvas and fitted with a "Conmar" zip in full working order. "First Aid" marked on both sides of the pouch. A makers mark "AN" is present in the interior. A very rare item in overall nice used condition.
