British (Airborne) 2nd Pattern Denison Smock 1944 - Nice Used Condition
British Airborne Denison smock, executed in the so-called 2nd pattern. Interesting is that this smock has been period modified to the 1st pattern by applying wool cuffs. Clearly favoured by the wearer instead of the more open and buttoned 2nd pattern.
The smock shows some age and wear, but witha highly attractive patina. Executed in a deep camouflage fabric. Fitted with a clear label and makers marked Henry Brown (Clothiers) Ltd and dated 1944. Sized a highly desireable and rare size 4. Fitted with so-called "Newey" press studs and full working "Swift" zip. A fantastic period modified British (Airborne) 2nd Pattern Denison Smock in a rare and desireable size and wartime date. Hard to upgrade.
