British Large Capacity Medic Waterbottle And Carrier - Nice Used Condition
A very rare example of a British Large Capacity i.e. medics waterbottle complete with cup and leather carrier. These were issued to medics and other medical personell such as stretcher bearers. These would for instance have been used by the Airborne medical units during the battle of Arnhem in 1944. The bottles have a larger capacity and a cup in order to supply water to the wounded. The metal cup is clearly marked with a Kings crown and makers marked "The Rosebery Metal Works". The felt cover has some minor moth damage, and is marked with a Broad Arrow underneath the canteen. One of the smaller leather straps is broke. However this is a very hard to find piece of medical equipment that we have not encountered often. In overall very good condition that would be hard to upgrade.
