WH (Heer) Artillery EM/NCO Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). The celluloid sweat-diamond ('Raute') is present and marked E Breuningen Stuttgart. There is a carton name-tag named to 'Georg Schneider'. Some research learns that George Schneider was an Oberfeldwebel in the 7./Sturm-Regiment 215. Schneider was awared with a Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on 16-01-1944.
The Visor cap is piped in the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Artillery troops. The cap is complete with its original so-called "bund metal" i.e. early war cap-eagle and aluminum cocarde.
