U.S. (Airborne) M1-C Paratrooper Helmet . A textbook example fitted with a Westinghouse liner. The shell compromises a so-called frontseam and swifel bale example. The M1-C helmet was a variant of the U.S. Army's popular and iconic M1 helmet. The liner is fitted with a pair of "A yokes" fixed to the side of the liner to enable the use of a four-point chinstrap and fitted with a webbing chin cup. The helmet shows some overall trace of use and age both on the shell as in the liner. Yet with a great patina!
