British (Airborne) 2 1/2 x 50 compact Galilean binoculars in original leather carrying case. The bincolars are in nice used condition. Clearly marked V.F. 2506 stores reference number/code for airborne issue along with a small broad arrow mark.
The binoculars come in their original brown leather carrying case fitted with original black leather carrying strap. The case is clearly makers marked A.G. & Co. Ltd and also marked with V.F. 2506 stores reference.
There is a famous picture of Boy Browning wearing these binoculars whilst talking to commander Gavin (82nd Airborne) near Overasselt during Operation Market Garden in 1944. A nice used pair off British (Airborne) Field Binoculars, yet hard to upgrade!
