British Side Cap Royal Sussex Regiment - Nice Used condition

A very nice used side cap badged to a soldier in the Royal Sussex Regiment. The side cap shows clear trace of wear and has a great patina. The side cap is fitted with a white band. A white band typically indicated that the wearer was a recruit under training or part of a specific training unit. An interesting note is that the In 1943, the 2nd Battalion and volunteers from the 4th and 5th Royal Sussex were formed into the 10th Parachute Battalion of the Parachute Regiment, which was a part of the 4th Parachute Brigade, serving with the 1st Airborne Division.
