Rare U.S. M1 Combat Helmet Marked Free French Army - Nice Used Condition

A very item, this U.S. M1 Combat helmet marked with Free French Army decal. The helmet compromises a textbook M1 frontseam and swifle bale example fitted with webbing chinstraps. Fitted with Firestone liber and leather chinstrap. The suspension of the helmet liner is marked with an army i.e. laundry number. This helmet was recently purchased from a long term collector. Marked on both sides with Free French Army decals depicting the 1804 'tricolor' revolutionary flag. The Free French were the first into Paris & played a very large part in the liberation of France as a whole. Including Corsica, Elba, Souther France and Colmar in the Alsace region. A helmet with great history and patina. Therefore cannot be upgraded.
