British 1940 Pattern Battle Dress Blouse Original Mounted Royal Armoured Corps - Nice Used Condition
A very nice and early war i.e. 1942 dated British 1940 Pattern Battle Dress Blouse. Original mounted to a Royal Armoured Corps Corporal. The Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) was formed on 4 April 1939, just months before the outbreak of the Second World War (1939-45). The RAC also included the battalions of the Royal Tank Regiment, previously known as the Royal Tank Corps. The Reconnaissance Corps was also part of the RAC from 1944 until it was disbanded in 1946. Fitted with embroided Royal Armoured Corps shoulder tittles and Corporal stripes. The blouse is fitted with original label and measures a size 12. The maker Alfred Polikoff (Wales) Ltd we do not encounter very often. Clearly marked with the Broad Arrow and 1942 dated. The War Department acceptance stamp is partly visible and the letter code "O" for 1942 still present. An attractive and original mounted British 1940 Pattern Battle Dress Blouse.
