British (Airborne) Red Beret 1944 Kangol Wear Limited - Nice Used Condition

Increasingly hard to find and highly sought after. Probably the most iconic piece of British Airborne headgear; the Red i.e. maroon beret.
This Red Beret compromising a 1944 dated example, clearly and makers marked Kangol Wear Ltd. The beret compromises a size 6 5/8 and is clearly Broad Arrow marked. In addition the beret is clearly marked with War Department acceptance mark and letter code "M" indicting 1944 being the year of issue.
The beret is fitted with an original economy i.e. bakelite Parachute Regiment cap badge. The beret shows minimal wear yet has some minor damage on the top (see pictures). A full original British (Airborne) Red Beret as would have been worn during D-Day and the Battle of Arnhem. Hard to find these days!
