British (Airborne) No. 38 MKII Wireless Set Complete - Nice Used Condition

The Wireless Set No. 38 was designed as a high frequency portable man-pack radio transceiver. Various pictures of the 38 set being used during the battle of Arnhem made this an iconic piece of Airborne equipment. This particular radio compromise an early war example with the switch being fitted on the radio that wasnt fitted on the later models. Complete with Z.A. webbing carrier, original antenna case and rare batery pack (1943 dated and makers marked CCL) as well as satchell bag. With the radio comes various equipment such as head and throat microphones, junction box and valves. All period equipment. Increasingly hard to find such a complete British (Airborne) No. 38 MKII Wireless Set, and although in nice used condition hard to upgrade as a whole.
