U.S.Army Air Force B10 Flying Jacket. This jacket was introduced in 1942 as a replacement of the leather A2 jacket. The B-10 flying jacket soon became popular due to its appearance and comfort. It was not only supplied to U.S. Air Force but also to other entities of the U.S. Army. There are well known pictures of members of the 101st Airborne wearing these jackets during the battle of the bulge in the winter of 1944-1945.
This particular jacket compromises an original example. Fitted with clear label. Measuring a size 36 and clearly makers marked Stagg Coat Co. Inc. U.S. Air Force. Fitted with an original and full working "Conmar Zip". Due its popularity and comfort these jackets were worn extensively and therefore are hard to find these days. An excellent nice i.e. light used example.
