A true stunning jacket and one of a kind. An in itself rare U.S. M1941 1st Model i.e. Parson Jacket. Fitted with a clear label. Dating February 1941 and sized 40. Makers marked Marshall Sportswear Inc. Fitted with a full working textbook "Tallon" Zip. The jacket is mounted to a Pilot in the Pacific theatre of operation. Fitted with embroided Pilot Wing and Air Force formation patch. On the rear of the jacket a silk blood chit has been applied. The Chinese characters read: "This foreigner has come to China to help in the war effort. Soldiers and civilians, one and all, should rescue and protect him". Blood chits were issued in various languages in various theatres of operation to identifying the force to which the bearer belongs as friendly. The jacket is in overall nice used condition with some discoloration but still an amazing Jacket with a fantastic patina!
