Royal Air Force No. 7 Squardron Pathfinder Service Dress & Side Cap With Provenance - Nice Used Condition

A unique uniform set consisting of a Royal Air Force Service Dress, side cap, portrait pictures and various flight reports. The tunic is original mounted to a staff sergeant awarded with a distinguished flying medal and rare pathfinder badge. The staff sergeants crowns are executed in bakelite (economy) instead of brass. The original label is present yet washed out but an army number is visible on the label. The tunic is clearly marked a size 13 and the War Department acceptance mark is also partly visible. The side cap is in nice used condition with the War Department acceptance is visible, fitted with a brass cap badge.
The various flight reports would need further research. However a brief research makes them appear to be a No. 7 squardron RAF. With various flights in both Canada, England and the Netherlands. The No. 7 squardron flew bomber raids to German cities such as Cologne, Essen and Bremen after which is it was assigned to the Pathfinder Force in August 1942, with the job of finding and marking targets for the Main Force of Bomber Command bombers. A stunning Royal Air Force uniform set with provenance that would therefore be hard to upgrade.
