No Surrender at Arnhem By Robert Peatling - Out of Print
During the fighting at Arnhem Robert Peating of 2 Para became cutoff from his batalion, he had escorted a group of German prisoners to the police station. On the 19th September 1944 he was ordered to surrender, instead he slipped away to hide alone. On 31st October he was discovered by a Dutch policeman who suggested he leave with a Dutch resistance man. He met with the Canadian army on the 17th April 1945 and was flown home after seven months behind enemy lines. Published in 2004.
