British (Airborne) 3rd Model Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife - Nice Used Condition

On of the most iconic fighting knifes of the British army, the Fairbairn Sykes.
The Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife is a double-edged fighting knife resembling a dagger or poignard with a foil grip. It was developed by William Ewart Fairbairn and Eric Anthony Sykes.
This fighting knife was adopted by British Airborne and Commando troops alike.
This particular Fairbairn Sykes compromises the so-called third model, easily recognized by its ringed alloy grip. The handles were casted in moulds in quanities of four. Each mold cavity left its own raised number on the casting. This number appears near the top of the pommel. This particular knife has 2 marked in the pommel, being casted in the second mould. The blade is marked England on the hilt and in nice used condition with a great patina. Fitted in original leather scabbard in equal nice used condition.
