In stunning and stone mint condition, this "IMPERIAL" makers marked U.S. M3 Trench Knife. So-called 2nd model being makers marked on the blade. Clearly marked M3 and IMPERIAL on the blade and on the marked with Ordnance bomb on the pommel. The M8 scabbard clearly makers marked B.M. Co. and compromises a pre April 1944 made example and is fitted with original leather lace, adding to the patina of this knife. The scabbard shows some clear usage.
These type of knifes were widely used in the ETO and during operations such as D-Day and Normandy in 1944. A nice used 2nd model M3 trench knife.
