British Royal Air Force Irvin Flying Trousers - Near Mint Condition
Introduced in the Royal Air Force in 1938, this sheepskin lined flying trousers. Refered to as Irvin trousers as designed by Leslie Irvin. Yet officially designated 'Thermally Insulated Flying Suit, Trousers' .
These trousers would have been worn by Bomber Command throughout the war. Executed in sheepskin leather which features a waterproof coating to the exterior. The original braces are still present and the nickel plated metal buckles are still in good condition. Full length zips run the length of the trousers and are original 'D.O.T' examples in good working order.
The original label is still present and marked with kings crown Air Ministry mark and 40288 serial/production number. The legs of the trousers measure aprox. 120cm in lenght, the waist aprox 50cm in width.
The trousers are to be considered in mint and minimal used condition. Would be hard to upgrade.
