Extremely Rare 1st Model British Paratrooper i.e. Bruneval Dropping Container - Nice Used Condition

This is an extremely rare example of a 1st model British Paratrooper dropping cannister. Refered to as "Bruneval"refering to the 1st significant parachute operation in world war two. We have never encountered such a piece before! The cannister is executed in jute supported by bamboo i.e. wicker sticks in order to support the compartiments. These cannister would have been used to drop mainly weapons and supplies behinh enemy lines. Unfortunately the hooks and straps have been replaced post-war. With the cannister come two sets of webbing straps that could be used to restore the container. There are soem markings ink stamps on the container one of them is Weapen Drop Roll 1944 the another differance stamps are army stock numbers A fantastic and truly one of a kind piece of Airborne Equipment that therefore cannot be upgraded.
