British MK3 or so-called Turtle Shell Helmet. In overall nice used condition and without any visible marks. The helmet has been decorated as a D-Day souvenir. Applied with a landing craft and the Normandy beaches "D-Day 6th June 1944". The painting has been skill full applied. I would estimate that this was done Possibly by a veteran or civlian who was in the possesion of a turtle shell helmet. A very attractive piece that would make a great display and with a great patina!
